About Jackdrive Mobility Incorporated

Jackdrive Mobility Incorporated, (JMI) was registered as a Class "C" Corporation in the State of Florida in January 2018. We changed from our previous business structure in order  to attract and accommodate outside investment and bring the JackDrive Wheelchair to market.

Conceived 11 years prior, the Jackdrive Wheelchair and Propulsion System was patented in 2016. Thereafter, development of the 1st generation prototype began. With the completion of the prototype in 2017, Jackdrive began its search for funding to continue the design, development, testing, and future manufacturing of the Jackdrive Wheelchair.

In September of 2017, a JMI Promotional, Fundraising Video  was seen by, among others, a board member of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, (ERAU). Jackdrive was subsequently invited to a meeting at the university where we were introduced to the President, and met with  principals from the College of Engineering, the College of Business, Marketing, and Administrative Departments. The consensus was unanimous, ERAU expressed their belief that the Jackdrive Wheelchair was a GAME CHANGER that would positively impact individuals who are mobility challenged worldwide. And further, expressed their interest in participating in the JackDrive Wheelchair project.

In January, 2018, Jackdrive Mobility Incorporated entered into a contractual relationship with ERAU and, became Tenant Partners at the John Mica Engineering and Aerospace Innovation Complex at Embry-Riddle Research Park in Daytona Beach, Florida. ERAU's Colleges of Engineering and College of Business are providing their services to help us design, develop, and manufacture the finest, health promoting, therapeutic, wheelchair in the world.

Our vision is to change the game for individuals who are mobility challenged and have been limited by manual wheelchair technology that hasn't changed much since the inception of wheeled chairs to aid the disabled.  Today's manual wheelchairs, using pushrims, commonly cause carpal tunnel syndrome and rotator cuff injuries. Most people in manual chairs wouldn't even think of venturing out to go shopping because of the physical limitations related to distance, and physical effort.

While the Jackdrive (tm) Wheelchair may not be for everyone, it  provides a health promoting, therapeutic, wheelchair that can achieve the speed and range of traditional bicycles. It can easily navigate over sand, snow, up and down hills, and with ease on less than perfect terrain because of it's gearing system. Finally, what sets it apart from every other manual chair is its ability to  function as an everyday chair using pushrims, or to use the Jackdrive Propulsion System. This offers the user greater maneuverability, range, and overall ease of use . And finally, one of its most important features, it's  just plain FUN.
